Design Q&A
We chatted with Zoe from our in-house design team about our 2026 Christmas collection.
Q: What's the inspiration behind the Tinsel Townhouse design?
A: In January this year, we travelled to Europe to visit textile and trend fairs, with our first stop in a beautifully snowy Amsterdam. We were inspired by the city’s charming old canal houses, with their distinctive architecture, characterful windows and colourful doors. The Tinsel Townhouse tea towel features a whimsical illustration of an Amsterdam canal house, complete with charming windows and doors all festively decorated for Christmas.
Q: Tell us about the Merry Moments collection.
A: This range features a stylised Pohutukawa flower inspired by block printing and geometric patterns, in a classically festive colour palette of greens and red, on a stylish natural cotton chambray base. Each flower and leaf was hand-drawn and arranged to create a beautiful two-way pattern, which features on our Christmas table textiles this year.
Q: What’s your favourite item from this years Christmas range?
A: I love the beaded Christmas decorations, especially the little martini glass!
